As a proof, the demand for qualified sociologists is so strong that it cannot be answered in the current situation. Demands for training courses on subjects such as high conservation value forests have literally exploded.
Certain NGOs have had the opportunity to visit several concessions without restrictions. Of course, there is still progress to be made, but the habits have changed. The states pride themselves on the latest certifications and the ministers in charge of forestry affairs constantly bring up the latest successes. A dynamics has been created and by the means of subcontracting, it will have an impact on the whole timber industry. The mission of IFIA is to make sure of this latter.
